How to post a google doc under assignments in google classroom: ​
  1. Click on google doc.
  2. Click on the box with the plus sign to begin a new document.
  3. Put your cursor in the box that says "Untitled Document" and give your document a title (the article's title is okay).
  4. Click on the page to begin typing your summary and reflection paragraph.
  5. To add an image or link:
    1. ​Image:
      1. Click on the + (plus sign) in the upper right-hand corner of the screen 
      2. Click "Image". You will have a choice between importing a photo from "photos". You may take a screen shot of images in your article. The screen shot will be stored in "photos".
      3. To take a screen shot:
        1. Find the image you want to save.
        2. Press the home key and the power button at the same time.
        3. Your photo will be saved in your "camera" icon app, where you may crop the photo if needed. When you want to insert the photo into your google doc, click "photos" after clicking the + sign.
  6. Review your work, including proofreading and reading your work aloud to yourself, and make sure you've done your personal best.
  7. When you are ready to post your work, click on the three dots ( . . . ) on the top right of the page.
  8. Click on "Share & export", then click on "share".
  9. Click the blue "Change", then click "commenter".
  10. Click on "copy link".
  11. Find the google classroom app. Go to the current event "Summary and Reflection" assignment.

   13.  On the right top, there is a box that says "add or create".  Click "Add", then click "link".  
   14.  Paste link (PC: right click – then paste or hit control v; Mac: command v).  Then click "add link".
   15.  Click the box on the right that says “turn in”.
   16.  If you "turn in", and you need to open your doc to edit, click "unsubmit".  After you click "unsubmit," refresh the page so that you can type on         your doc.  Don't forget to "turn in" once you have finished editing.

Typing Tests:

Practice typing so that you don't have to look at the keyboard when you type.  I've included some links to free typing website.  Try different ones, especially the ones that show which fingers to use on which keys.  Knowing how to reach with your fingers will help you type faster.  The BBC typing games show you where to place your fingers.  If you want to share other websites, feel free to let your classmates and me know the fun sites to use.
