Sixth grade science explores topics including systems and subsystems in earth and life sciences, how earth system interactions cause weather, causes and effects of regional climates, the effects of climate change on living systems, and human impact on climate. Sixth grade science includes health topics as well. We incorporate project-based learning, investigation and experimentation, and we use depth and complexity to delve deeper into subjects. Part of the Environmental STEAM Program Science program is overnight science camp at Camp High Trails in Big Bear! The students study science in an outdoor classroom setting.
